Digital Humanities Portfolio

Below are four projects that explore the depth and breadth of my digital humanities interests and skills. Actress Analysis showcases a Gephi network of actresses working on the London stage in the eighteenth century who played the significant role of Millwood in The London Merchant. HIV/AIDS and Actual Play explores the new media form “actual play” through the lens of HIV/AIDS memory, resulting in an article that engages this innovative media format as a pathway to naming structural violence against people living with HIV/AIDS. Annotating the Corseted Body is a Digital Mappa project, where participants are encouraged to compare two editions of a nineteenth-century medical corsetry text to track the differences between the two editions. And The Eighteenth-Century Sex Work Database is the current dataset of sex worker reviews from the Covent Garden Harris Lists that, in the next stage of the project, will be transformed into a searchable database.
